From: tjwall1 Sent: 10/15/2005 1:00 AM Jacko and I played our match. It was probably the closetest match I've ever played. I made a lucky eagle on the first hole, and Jacko drew even on hole 2. Neither of us was ever more than one hole up. Jacko went into 17 one up and barely missed his birdie (one of those <1" things). Amazing it didn't go in. We went to 18 even and Jacko's birdie chip lips out. Unreal. I made a breaking 10 footer to win 1 up. If I'm Jacko I probably feel snake bit. One on those rounds he difinitely played good enough to win, but just didn't. I feel very fortunate to win that one Jacko. Thanks again for the great match and fun.
From: its_jacko--au Sent: 10/15/2005 2:28 AM Thanks again Tim for one very tough match. I played about as good as I could, scoring birdies on every hole thru 16, except for the 1st (where I didn't get to a chance to putt for birdie after Tim's hole out from the fairway) and the 6th (where we both 2 putted from tough positions about 25 foot from the hole) As Tim was also playing great, the match was always close and could have gone either way. I was a little unlucky on the last two holes, but full credit to Tim for the birdies on those holes to take the match.
A bit of a shame that one us had to lose (especially seen as it was me...lol...) but congratulations Tim & good luck in your next match.
Cheers, Jacko. |
