From the very first scene of Reservoir Dogs, it became apparent that High Fidelity had little to no chance of advancing in this tournament. This proved to be the case, as QT and Reservoir Dogs advanced in convincing fasion on an April evening. High Fidelity downfall was its slow paced, and even boring, plot. Reservoir Dogs was exactly the opposite. Its action packed scenes with exceptional dialogue and ensemble acting propeled this 1992 drama into the second round tot face the winner of the Trainspotting/Fear & Loathing matchup. Steve Buschemi's portrayal of the ever entertaining Mr. Pink earned him the game's MVP. |
