Date/Time:
Location: Cartersville
Score: 82-52
Winner: Baseline-1 (11-1)

Baseline-1 literally out-shot, out-played and out-classed the Atlanta Speedboys club and organization, in an 82-52 win on Sunday evening in the SEBL Metro Conference A-League Semi-finals. Baseline-1 gradually built a steady lead in the first half, behind the scoring of Ernest Scott, Ronell Wooten and Golden Ingle. Marcus Henderson hit a few timely shots and Rod Ashmore's 35 footer at the buzzer gave Baseline a 42-25 lead at the break. Corey McGowan hit a 18-footer, followed by Romel Wright and Brandon Kelley buckets, as the Speedboys went on a 8-0 run to start the half, trimming the Baseline lead to 10. But, Ernest Scott buried two more treys while going on a personal 8-point binge. Baseline continued to build on its lead and the Speedboys continued to self-destruct, spiraling to a level of unsportsmanlike conduct, resulting in several technicals and intentional fouls as the game wound down. Marcus Byams scored 12 points to lead the Speedboys, while Brandon Kelley had 10. For Baseline-1, Scott had 25, Wooten and Ingle each had 14, Casey Moore 12 and Marcus Henderson 10. The "black-eye" was on the Speedboys, as Baseline-1 will move on to the SEBL Metro Championship Game where they will face the South Division's #1 Seeded D.O.T.S. team, who beat ServPro-1 69-67 in the other Semi-final.
