Date/Time:
Location: Cartersville
Score: 69-67
Winner: DOTS (8-3)

Chris Agnes downed 22, and D.O.T.S. came from behind to clip a surprised ServPro-1 squad, 69-67. Though DOTS came in as the #1 seed from the South Division, it looked like ServPro-1 had the match-up advantage on the floor. The game went in that direction for almost 3/4 of the way, as ServPro built a 10-point lead by half-time, 39-29. DOTS just hung around, still down by 8-10 points well into the second half, then went on a run behind a couple of threes by Randall Tatum and James Taylor. DOTS raced back, and after two Xavier Trice freethrows took a 62-59 lead with just over a minute remaining. Mike Dean nailed a trey to re-knot the score, but Chris Agnes drew a foul and sank both for DOTS, and they went back up 64-62. Dean got fouled and missed one of the two foul shots. Agnes again drew a foul driving the lane, made the first free shot, then missed. Shan Finley drove into the lane, missing a runner, but Victor Saxton followed with a tip in, to re-tie the game at 65-all, with only 11 seconds showing. Then, Agnes drove the length of the floor, while splitting two defenders just outside the lane, lofted a shot that bounced on the front of the rim and fell through with 3.7 seconds, putting DOTS up 67-65. ServPro-1 called timeout, and then promptly threw the ball away on the inbounds. They had to foul as soon as DOTS inbounded. Xavier Trice nailed both shots at the line. Saxton scored a bucket at the buzzer for ServPro, but it only made the score an academic 69-67 total. DOTS showed why they have been on top of the standings in the SEBL for most of the summer. They continued to fight, hit the shots when need and attacked the basket, which allowed for many points to be collected at the line, where they went 19-28. Trice tallied 16 points, including 8-9 at the line, to help Agnes. Randall Tatum also had 11, Daniel Johnson eight and James Taylor five. For ServPro-1, Finley had 19, Saxton 18, Dean 12 and Mike Paige nine. DOTS will face off against the North Division's #1 seeded team in the Baseline-1 squad, who defeated the Atlanta Speedboys earlier in the day.
Name: DOTS (8-3)
Seed: S#1
DOTS has been on top of the SEBL South standings most of the summer, briefly slipped the last two games of the regular season, but seem to have refound their stride.
Name: ServPro-1 (8-3)
Seed: N#3
ServPro-1 saw their season come to a surprising close. ServPro's only two losses came while Jermaine Spivey was out with a strained calf muscle. Against DOTS, Spivey was held to only seven, and ServPro-1 sputtered.
