Early Wynn 54 Vs Dick Hughes 67.
Good pitching matchup that got away from Wynn he lost 3-2 with a HR by Roger Maris and sac fly by Dal Maxvill all in the 6th. Hughes hung on to win after that giving up 2 runs on 5 hits with 11 k's a very good performance both runs were HR's and nobody else got past 1st base.
The Cardinals now get a bye to the 4th round. |
