In The 2005 Baltimore / DC Main Event Tim & Joe of the Metropolitan Whist & Pinochle Club in the Washington DC area won 2 of 3 games in the Preliminary Rounds, they then swept through the "Sweet 16" Playoffs to take the 2005 Baltimore / DC Main Event Championship. Tim & Joe have won several local tournaments in the past. In fact, they were featured in the Washington City Paper Bid Whist Article. This was their first 1st place victory on the national scene with the Bicycle Bid Whist Across America Tour.
The Main Event Tournament was part of the Bicycle Playing Cards Baltimore / DC Bid Whist Weekend held April 22 -23, 2005. Congratulations to Tim & Joe.
