Each match between schools is a best 3 out of 5. If 2 people from each school win and one match ends in a draw, there will be another match featuring any of the five players from both schools to determine the winner. Each player from each school in a given match starts with 30 minutes on the clock. If a player's clock runs out before the match is finished, that player loses the match. The winner from the East Region will go on to the Final Four Round against the other three region winners in a double elimination state championship bracket.
