| Michigan State led Holy Cross by 4 with 8 seconds to go when HC guard Popavich got a rebound off of Jones's missed shot and MSU's Center Jeffrey Smuth pushed Popavich to the floor and it was ruled a flagarent foul. Popavich hit 2 free throws and also hit a two pointer on the inbound pass. Then a long pass down court to Jones set him up for the Game winning jumper to set Michigan state on top. |
