| New Orleans came out and forced a punt to start the game and then followed with a clock eating drive before punching it in for the game's first score. The Saints were controlling the game and headed for what appeared to be another score before the half to make it 14-0 when Fourcade fumbled, and Bohn picked it up to race over 70 yards for the score to swing the 7-7 knot at the half. From there the Saints twice took the lead, but the Browns battled back. Metcalf fumbled twice in the game, but the Saints were unable to recover either of them. Bohn tied the game with 1:30 left in the 4th and the Saints answered with a long kickoff return, three quick plays, and a chance to set up the game winning FG. However, from 40 yards, Anderson missed it wide left (not even close). Bohn won the OT coin toss, but was forced to punt after moving the ball out to the 35 yard line. A four play New Orleans drive was capped by the winning TD pass to end a very good first round game. Way to fight and almost steal one. Classy opponent. |
