A defense war was waged at Giants stadium. Derrick Mason caught a 6 yard touchdown from Steve McNair to give Tennessee a 7-0 lead. The Giants would then get 3 short field goal from Raul Allegre. But in the 4th, Steve McNair drove his team down the field, and gave Titans kicker Al Del Greco a chance to win the game. Al nailed a 32 yarder and the Titans won at Giants Stadium, and earned the right to play the 84 49ers at the stick.
