No surprise here at all. Redskins HB John Riggins ran all over the undersize Patriot defense. Riggo finished the game with 134 yards and 3 touchdowns. Skins QB Joe Thesimann was 18/23, 214 yards, and 2 touchdowns. While Charlie Brown paced the Skins receiving corps with a 8 catches.
For New England, Steve Grogan had a rough day, tossed 3 picks and 0 TDs and just 153 and only completed 14 of 30 passes. |
