A shocker in Oakland. With the Panthers leading 20-13 late 4th. Oakland quarterback Ken Stabler led a change toward tieing the game. Stabler did his part by hitting Cliff Branch with :13 seconds left. Cutting the lead to 1. Errol Mann, Raiders kicker, missed the extra point. The kick sailed wide left. Giving the Panthers the huge upset.
Kerry Collins, was 21 out 30, 244 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Most of his passed went to Mark Carrier, game MVP, as he grabbed 10 balls for 138 yards and both touchdowns.
Errol Mann was beaten to a bloody plup by the Raider nation after the game. |
