The Packers luck ran out at the Stick. Favre, who was masterful in the upset win at Solider Field, did have enough magic tonight.
Favre hit Levens to give Green Bay the first score of the game. But the 49ers, loaded with talent, struck back. Roger Craig who was slient in the win over Washington, rumbled in from 5 yards out to tie the score at 7. After a Rice touchdown had it 14-7, SF. Green Bay got a field goal. After that, the Niners never looked back. Rattling off 21 str. points and seals their spot in the semifinal round. Montana tossed for 314 yards and 4 scores. Joe Montana so far is the MVP of this championship.
Robert Brooks, who was amazing at Solider Field last week, was held to 1 catch for 6 yards. |
