Jamal Anderson got 109 yards and 1 touchdown as the Falcons beat the Steelers 20-12 to earn a date at the Georgia Dome with the team that beat them in Super Bowl XXXIII.
Atlanta jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead. But the Steelers battled back. Getting two field goals before intermission, and scoring a TD with 9:16 to play in the 3rd. The 2 pt conversion was missed and the lead stood at 14-12. Morten Andersen added two field goals late to add to the final talley.
Falcon safety Eugene Robinson ended a late Steeler surge but intercepting Steeler QB Terry Bradsaw on the Falcon 19 yard line. Falcons would down the ball and win the game.
