Jim Kelly said his Bills had a chance in LA this past Sunday. I guess we didn't relize what he was talking about. Kelly, completed 31 of 40 passes for 357 yards and 4 TDs as his Bills destoyed the Raiders 31-10 at the L.A. Collisum. Andre Reed caught 12 balls for 161 yards and 2 of the Kelly strikes. The Bills also contained Raiders RB Marcus Allen who just had 90 yards on 20 carries.
The Raiders drew first blood as Jim Plunkett hit Don Hasselbeck in the end zone to give the Raiders a 7-0 lead. After a Norwood FG, the Bills came back with Kelly's first touchdown pass, this one to James Lofton. The Bills ended the quarter with Andre Reed's first TD grab. 17-7, Buffalo. They led 17-10 at the break. They scored twice in the 3rd quarter. And won the game 31-10.
The Bills won despite just 18 yards of rushing from Thurman Thomas. Jim Kelly got the Player of the Game honor. |
