At the end of FF6, Kefka rises from the ruins of his tower and finds a new source of power. Amazed, 5 years later, Kefka, taking the disguise of an evil scientist, creates Mecha-Kefka, a metal robot filled with magic from the source. Mecha-Kefka though got insane, and took off from the lab and began causing chaos across the land once again.
