Win The "Detroit
 Friday Night Special Tournament"

Claude & Cliff of Detroit won two games with 49 points in the Preliminary Rounds. They then swept through the "Round of 32 Playoffs"  to take 1st Place in the "Detroit Friday Night Special" Tournament. Sixty Eight teams participated in this tournament. When 64 or more teams play in a tournament, the playoffs go from having 16 teams to 32 teams. Claude 7 cliff came in 23rd place in the Preliminary Rounds, before sweeping their way into the championship. Congratulations to Claude & Cliff.
The 2004 Detroit "Friday Night Special" Tournament was part of the Bicycle Playing Cards Detroit Grand Prix Bid Whist Weekend held July 30-31, 2004. In addition to the 4 Bid Whist Tournaments, The Elite Whist Society of Detroit hosted a fish fry, a swim party, and a picnic. A good time was had by all.
