Eleanor & Betty Of The Big Apple Bid Whist League of New York City won all 3 games in the Preliminary Rounds. They then swept through the "Sweet 16 Playoffs"  to take 1st Place in the "Detroit Saturday Night Fever" Tournament. Detroit has been a good city for Eleanor & Betty. they won $2000 in the 2003 Detroit Main Event Tournament.

The 2004 Detroit "Saturday Early Bird" Tournament was part of the Bicycle Playing Cards Detroit Grand Prix Bid Whist Weekend held July 30-31, 2004. In addition to the 4 Bid Whist Tournaments, The Elite Whist Society of Detroit hosted a fish fry, a swim party, and a picnic. A good time was had by all.
