Gary & Bert of Texas won 1 game in the Preliminary Rounds, they then swept through the "Sweet 16" Playoffs to take the Houston Main Event Championship. Gary is a member of the "Deadly Trumps Bid Whist Club" Of Houston. The 2004 Houston "Friday Night Special" Tournament was part of the Bicycle Playing Cards Houston Grand Prix Bid Whist Weekend held October 15-16, 2004.
